I am in my glory when I am in natural surroundings. All of nature delights me so I love to capture as much as I can on my digital camera....

A SALE! Our Friendly Wildlife, Bearded Dragon.

I would like to thank the buyer of a Throw Pillow of my image showing ‘OUR FRIENDLY WILD LIFE!’ Bearded Dragon, ‘Arilka’, Mount Pleasant.
This has been a popular image and I trust that you are happy with the finished product
showing these fascinating Lizards.

Our house & Property is to be sold.

It will limit my time on RB for awhile as Leon and I attend to packing up our belongings after 29 years of living on ‘Arilka’. We are sad to do so but we need a change to something smaller. I will do my utmost to keep in touch until we have moved to a new home. In the meantime I will miss the camaraderie & friends I made around the world.

We will be looking for something with space and nature around us so we can continue to enjoy nature and all she blesses us with. Rita Blom.

I am delighted to have sold a Photographic Print of TWISTING & CURLING AS THE WIND SHAPED THE OLD EUCALYPTUS TREE.
Thank you to the buyer and I hope you were happy and satisfied with the finished product. …..Rita :))

An Extra Day on Monday the 29th of February.

Mother Nature in her Group ‘FERNS & MOSSES AROUND the WORLD’ suggested we should all do something special on the extra day in the year!

Well we have booked to ride The ‘Overland Train’ to Melbourne on the 29th to spend some time with our eldest son & family, we shall have fun celebrating Geoff & Heather’s Grandson & our Grt. Grandson’s 3rd Birthday on Tuesday and relax for the rest of the week. No Laptop & no RB, no emails or FB. Just us and the family. YES!

See You All Later!!!!!…….. Have a good Extra Day!

Happy to be home and doing well!

Three weeks last Monday and I am walking already, I am amazed how well I am doing. I use a stick when on uneven ground and I have been working hard at all the exercises. The Physio calls me his Super Patient and has given me a week off with a harder exercise added on but to be tackled 3 times a day. The cold pack is helping with the swelling and I have to wear long white pressure stockings for a while yet, and some very colourful bruises are starting to disappear
I must admit that although not a pill popper I would not be where I am without the subscribed painkillers. Half way to my six week check up and looking forward to getting out more with my camera.
My husband has been a great help and very patient with his ‘English Patient’. Now I am able to do more for myself so have taken some of …

The Time Has Come! The Walrus said!.

It’s been a long wait due to my Surgeon breaking her wrist earlier this year my Knee replacement Op was put back 5 months!
Monday morning at 7am I have to present myself at Mt. Barker country hospital all bright & bushy tailed to finally have the work done. A 1.1/2 hour drive from home.
Yes I am feeling nervous & now when I think about it I get butterflies in my stomach, BUT I know it’s going to be heaps better and I will be able to get out walking & hiking again. Not allowed to take laptops to hospital so I will catch up with RB & all my friends when I am back home. Shouldn’t be too long because the Nursing at Home is providing lots of items to make things easy for the first month! Can’t complain about that. So I may be home in just over a week with a bionic knee!!!! Hope behind the camera…
