A lost friend

I cannot forgive her,
I’ll never forget,
But hah, yes, I miss her,
And yes, I regret.

I remember the old her,
From when I was young,
And a little naive,
And didn’t know pain.

The life then was wonderful,
Me and my friend,
The best friend I’d had,
Before she went mad.

Wounds she caused,
Scars on her body,
Scars on our souls,
The memories burn.

There were times it didn’t matter,
The music that played then,
Still rings in my ears,
Happy times,
Words that we shared,
That ended in sorrow.

Chaos.

I cannot forgive her,
I cannot forget,
I cannot help missing her,
And yes, I regret.

A lost friend

Artist's Description

Deliberately sometimes rhymed, sometimes not. Shows discordant harmony etc…
Yeh, tis about a real person. She probably knows who she is.
And I hope she doesn’t read this…if she does…well, don’t take offence…
