The shot is of a tiny ice droplet droplet about 3mm in size. It was taken in my garden in Maidstone, Kent in early 2010 during the snow, with a Nikon D90 28-100mm with a +10 close up.
This method allows the intensity of colour in the leaf veins, the hairs on the leaf, and even the air bubbles within the ice to be captured. Only the ice drop and the center of the leaf tip are in focus, as i wanted the shot to be uncluttered and purely focus on the main subject.
This image speaks for itself really, so just look and enjoy.
