‘grassseeds’ is an image taken ‘through’ the viewfinder of a kodak duaflex 620 film camera using a digital camera.
This technique has become popular recently on the flickr photo sharing site in the throughtheviewfinder group. It uses mostly old twinlens cameras available since the 1950’s and 1960’s and creates a square format image with a ‘nostalgic’ and ‘vintage’ feel. Residue from dust and grime in the old camera, and a certain amount of blurriness is what makes these images appear charming. Most TTV images have a black frame around the edges, unless heavily cropped.
I hope you enjoy them as much as I enjoy taking them.
