Artist's Description

You wince at the sharp sting of blowing snow crystals as the wind whips across what parts of your skin you left exposed. What is a short, pleasant stroll up the mountain in spring, summer and fall is an adventure in survival in the deeps of a winter’s day at Blue Knob All Seasons Resort. Though the snow itself has stopped falling from the clouds, one glance heavenward and you know it won’t be long before that hint of light is extinguished and more of the white stuff will descend.

As you trudge along, trying not to slip on the icy patches hidden under the new layer of powder, you pull your goggles tighter, yank your hat down farther and remind yourself that a lovely hot Irish Coffee … mmmmm … awaits at the Lodge just beyond this last set of trees.

This image was digitally hand-painted in Corel Painter with tablet and many of the currently popular Bob Ross brushes, based loosely on one of my own photos.
