Artist's Description

I had the opportunity to visit Tucson Arizona in the spring of 2009. To the eyes of an east coast gal, the colorful buildings in the area were an amazing treat. This particular window, with it’s graceful iron-grill work and profusion of crimson roses, really caught my eye. The brilliant fuchsia / lavender of the stucco’ed walls added to the unique and whimsical look. I’d love to have been able to see the decor of the interior of this lovely home.

Original image taken with the Nikon D40x and the 18-200mm vr Nikkor lens.

Treated to some work in Photoshop CS6 then completely digitally hand-painted with Wacom Tablet and brushes in Corel Painter 2015 for a lively and fun impressionistic look.
