Borneo holidays

I am off to Sabah (Malaysian Borneo) again in 2 weeks time. This time iIam not going alone I am taking my 2 girls age 11 & 14. My 11yo is showing a great interest in photography and she will be bringing her camera along as well as all my camera gear. So there will be lots of photos to post when we get back I will have to set up a profile for her. The first 3 days of the trip will be spent at Sandakhan which is where during world war 2 the Japanese marched allied soldiers to there deaths along the Sandakahn death march track, with only a handful making it to Ranau. We will not be walking the track as it takes great fitness to do this but we will be visiting the memorial gardens, part of the track and visiting the historic Anglican church in Sandakan in Malaysian-Borneo where it will pays tribute to 2 500 soldiers who died in a barely-known wartime atrocity.

We will then spend the rest of our holiday on the other side of Sabah at Kota Kinabalu.

This is the first overseas trip for my girls so they are very excited. I remember my first overseas trip was at the age of 14 to Malaysia so I hope they get as much enjoyment and will remember it the same way that I still rmemeber my first trip all those years ago. (not doing the maths lol)
