Moments of Truth

There are few questions you might ask yourself in Moments of Truth. What I’m here for? Do I even belong? Why is there no end to my pain? And why is it so hard for me to change? Just another day trying to find a brighter day. This isn’t the 60’s but mentally we are all still here. No more beatings from police clubs or dogs barking for show. Now they commit the same actions on the low. We’ve come to far to see these actions speaking louder than words, when you can get locked up for smoking herb. They say when will we learn? I say when you let me go Massa. Can’t you see I want to be free like the Ohio Players. Nobody cares about the past that has so many answers to our questions. They have systemically broken us down like a tornado destroying the culture of our youth. Every second is a lie to me with moments of truth.

Artist's Description

This I actually wrote outside a Sherrif’s Department District where I had a hearing for a Misdemeanor charge for the natural plant of the earth. Alot of thoughts went through my mind, so I wrote it.
