Stress Placed On Faith

Romans 8:28
And we know that God causes all things to work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose.

Death of a loved one easily places the most stress on any one persons faith over any type of tragedy. As most, if not all of you know a fellow Redbubble member lost their young son the day after Christmas.

During times like these we all ask one thing…Why?

“Why” is something that we may never know. God’s purpose is larger than our simple minds will ever be able to understand.

The only way to pull through such hard times with victory is through Christ.

Phillipians 4:13
I can do all things through Him who strengthens me

Death is certain and complex…we will never understand God. He asks that we place our faith in Him and his plans.

Proverbs 3:5
Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding

I lost my sister of 28 years in 1998. She left behind two daughters of 7 and 9 years of age. Many said she was too young to die. It made me think…according to what? According to whom? What is the proper age to die? Who determines that?

Despite how we feel God is in control. When God determines a persons time here is over, it is over. There is nothing another person, doctor, or machine can do about it. Realize the God is in control and try to remember Romans 8:28.

Jeremiah 29:11-13
‘For I know the plans that I have for you,’ declares the LORD, ’plans for welfare and not for calamity to give you a future and a hope. Then you will call upon Me and come and pray to Me, and I will listen to you. ’You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart.

This is a very hard time for Sarah, Glenn and their entire extended family. I have prayed for them and ask that you do the same. Pray that God give them peace. Pray for the kind of peace only God can provide.

Phillipians 4:7
And the peace of God, which surpasses all comprehension, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Losing someone is tragic. It impacts you for years. It can be consuming. I pray that it is not for Sarah and Glenn. I pray that God gives them peace and the strength to move on but never forget the years they had with their son.

Life is precious. Make the most of it no matter what age. You only have one brother by that name. One sister by that name. One mother, one father. Dont let how you feel today turn into regret tomorrow.

Not a single one of us knows when we are done here, or when our loved ones and friends are done here on earth. Make the most of every moment. Make sure things are right with people in your life.

More importantly, make sure things are right between you and God. Eternity is forever. Once your last card is played thats it, no going back. You want to be on the right side of the fence once you find out the real truth about eternity. Dont gamble with eternity.

May God extened peace and blessing to Sarah, Glenn and their family.
