koala love

Out of the door, into the open, a koala sitting on my back.
walking down the path, through the flowers a soft nuzzling on my neck.
its fur is soft and grey with age, its wet black nose sniffling away.
Climbing that hill, to the enclosure, holding the key, behind the wire are other koala’s in the family.
The dragging of my feet as i open the door is the only sound to be heard.
As i put the koala gently on the ground it gives one last nuzzel on my arm
and walks slowly up to the old gum and climbs the tree, to his family.
