Sun Frazzled Kisses

I could have died my darling
In those fields we roamed through
Sun frazzled; but kissing
I never told you; I could have died
Right there; in that moment

In those days and nights; wide awake
Insomniacs we pair; with only each other
For companionship; through the
Pillow fluffing; clock checking and fidgeting.
Crystalline Pixie, you named me

I never quite knew why; but it grew to fit
Just right; just free enough, for movement
And breath intake; just loose enough
For dance room; for me room; for life
Outside of you room; although little of that existed

I miss the way you’d roll my cigarettes
When my hands were cold and shaking
When we spent those nights outside
Conversing about the times
We had lived before each other

I miss the hugs, the contact, the love

I said I’d always love you; so I’ll hold to
My promise; who ever comes and
Goes through me; I’ll always love you longest

My darling I miss you
