Week 24: Skeletal Plastic

I don’t know about you, but I came across this quirky image tonight. It’s an old article from apartment therapy . Yes, they have very nice apartment design ideas, but this particular issue featured High Art of Recycled Junk . I’m not sure about the High bit, but the junk definitely looks interesting.

I especially like the skeletal plastic bottle and the contrast between the offending plastic material vs. the ephemeral quality from the casting of their shadow. Something along the lines of permanent vs. transient….? At least that’s the feeling I got from it.

I went on Regis mayot , the artist’s website but Alas, he’s french, and so is everything on his website…. So I’ll never really know what he’s trying to say….. or will I?

Oh well, anyhow, found a couple more interesting ‘Recycled plastic vs. light’ artwork from him. Enjoy!
