There is something about last year’s hydrangea that stops me in my tracks. The petals of the spent flowers are so paper like. My family and I were out to lunch at an artsy cool place called the Gumboot Restaurant and Cafe in Roberts Creek, British Columbia. I literally stopped on our way in, took out my gear and spent a few minutes composing this shot. I think lunch tasted all the sweeter after this moment.
