Artist's Description

The morning fog hung heavy over the lake, its damp hush enveloping everything. Breathing in green and clean, I gave thanks for the stillness of this moment.

Camera info:
Nikon D7000 | Lens AF-S Nikkor 18-105mm f1:35-5.6G ED
f/8 | 1/100 | ISO 250 | RAW

Location info:
This was shot at Burnaby Lake Regional Park in Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada. This magnificent park is in the middle of a city but feels like you are out in the middle of nowhere. It is over 750 acres of land and home to a lot of wildlife.

Artists note:
I woke on this spring Saturday morning and the fog was magnificent over the lake. It was the first time I went walking at Burnaby Lake and the fog was what drew me out. I wish I had words to express my gratitude and awe. As my husband, Paul, and I were were walking, we passed a woman with her pet. We made niceties and she said something along the lines that it was too bad I brought my camera out on such a bad day. Sunshine has its place, but fog is just magnificent!
