Do you like riddles?
I hope you do,
And I hope you enjoy puzzles too.
I’ve got one for you,
It’ll blow your mind I’m sure,
Or not.
You know the answer already,
Probably could figure the question,
But the adventure of finding it out,
That’s the point of the invention.
I suppose it’d take some time,
After all there are many obstacles to face,
Given everything that must be set in place,
But if you are patient with me,
Give me enough time,
I promise I will try my hardest,
To blow your mind.
I’ll take you for a ride,
A little spin,
Show you just how crazy it’s been,
With the renovations inside my head,
Hardly any warmth left inside my bed,
I’ve just been thinking,
Staring at the door,
Waiting for the sun to shine through,
Let me see the world come unglued.
So I’ll make you a puzzle,
I’ll make you a riddling rhyme,
All you have to do,
Is wait your due time.
Find the answer,
Listen to the clues,
Remember what numbers can do for you,
Across the keyboard they go.
But this much you already know.
That the answer, it’s already there.
You know it dearly,
But try not to scare away the question,
That it’s going to ask,
Because questioning the answer,
Is only half of the task.
If you can come through for me,
You’ll have to look past a lot.
I know it’s hard given what you’ve got.
Possibly mad, probably pissed,
Got your little hand clenched in a fist.
Hurt even, sad that I can be so mean,
When you deserve a love so keen,
But if you choose to follow me,
I’ll get you to smile eventually.
You should know that things are not as they seem,
And my reality is only as real as the fantasy I deem.
