In the cascades of glistening water,
I see your inspiration flowing over the rocks.
Slippery, these rocks deceive,
The wandering foot of travelers.
For inside the flow of your beauty,
Lies traps, and snares in which to fall.
Many think that beauty is easy,
That it’s a stroll in the sun,
No cares to have, no fears to embrace,
But they are deceived by your grace.
They do not understand the trials,
That such beauty has stand in it’s way.
The wrenching experience of glory,
As you keep fraudulent admirers at bay.
For beauty is something in the beholder,
Something deeper, something felt.
It’s a communion of the beholder and attraction,
A bond that is formed in love and splendor,
The admirer supplying the beauty in his eye.
He is the only one who can inspire the tremor,
Of acknowledgement in the beheld’s eye.
She knows of his loving adoration,
The minute there is paper to pen,
Because his emotions run their course,
On the islands of ink held within.
She can only wonder,
How he manages to find the time and place,
To envision such a wonderful glamor,
Of her beautiful, inspirational face.
So you see beauty needs a beholder,
A beholder needs beauty,
And each of us are looking for the other,
Independently.
But once they are bound in union,
The relationship recognized.
They are forever cast together,
As beholders, of life’s ultimate prize.
Love.
