My name is Lincoln.

I’m a somber writer, who sometimes forgets to laugh, or laughs when I shouldn’t. I remember things that I shouldn’t remember. I desperately want for the world to be a different place, a place that makes a little more sense to my mind than what I currently am a part of. I believe that we are that change, I believe that words will start it and the joining of the Believers will be the change in motion. I do not believe that we are here to live our lives for ourselves, because we each are a part of the other’s lives. We all have our own role to play in this grand show. I hope my words unlock things in your mind that you had previously known but forgotten about, or hadn’t known and just realized. They are your thoughts not my own, so I hope you can take what you will from them. I believe in happiness, but that doesn’t mean I’m a perfect student in practicing it. Peace, love, and happiness to you, whoever you are, wherever you are from.

Murder? Suicide? / Surely the gravest of all is… / Self-righteousness, the preconceived notion that one is equal to God, or the Devil Himself.

Change

Notoriety is desperately sought after by most Americans today. Coupled with the wealth that seems to be afforded pop culture icons the starry-eyed fans live, breathe, and die a lust for a lifestyle glamorized by Hollywood and magazines. They long to be as famous as these individuals for the sheer pleasure of having the eyes of the world on them, to live “easy” and have the ability to …

Average

I deal with things mentally on a daily basis that most people probably never think in their entire lives. It’s this source of frustration and anger, I just can’t seem to shake it. It makes me want to make drastic changes and tear down structures that hold up all of this bullshit. I want life unadulterated, and it’s impossible, impossible because of the archetypes of history, the…

On Eternity and Consciousness

In the midst of falling short in a conversation I was having with my coworkers, I was inspired to attempt the articulation of words into the summary of reality as I see it. This is the end product. If you have the time, I do implore you to read it. / On Eternity and Consciousness / By Lincoln Brown / The proposal of my entire system of beliefs is difficult to encompass in words, and even more dif…
