Lily is a chigiri-e artist.

Chigiri-e, is a Japanese method of tearing hand-made washi paper to create art. The paper comes in various thicknesses, colors and quality that adds to the dimension of the art. From a distance, chigiri-e may appear to be similar to a water color but upon closer examination, the three dimensional paper exudes wonderful energy to make the image come alive.

Lily’s floral images include a variety of flowers but her current passion is depicting the local tropical flowers of her home in Honolulu, Hawaii.
