Artist's Description

This sculpture is in Bonaventure Cemetery in Savannah, Georgia. Bonaventure gained national prominence from the best selling novel Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil by John Berendt. Dripping with Spanish Moss and full of fantastic sculpture, it demands further investigation. None other than John Muir spent several nights in the cemetery in 1867 and said it was “breathtakingly beautiful” in a chapter devoted to it in his A Thousand Mile Walk to the Gulf. If you are near Savannah, by all means don’t miss it.
