Artist's Description

Locomotive 1369 was one of the 1366 Class of locomotive built for dock shunting, deployed from Swindon and Weymouth in 1962 to work on a china clay branch in Cornwall and remained in service there for a further two years. 1369 was saved for preservation and taken to the South Devon Railway in Buckfastleigh, Devon (UK). After many years out of service the engine returned to steam in 1996 after an overhaul costing £40,000.
