The Italian Chapel is a highly ornate Catholic chapel on Lamb Holm in Orkney, Scotland (UK). It was built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II (1939-1945), who were housed on the previously uninhabited island while they constructed the Churchill Barriers to the east of Scapa Flow. The chapel is built entirely from scrap materials with most of the interior decoration being done by Domenico Chiocchetti, a POW from Moena.

Camera used: Nikon Coolpix 3200
