Artist's Description

The Campbell Valley Regional Park in Langley, British Columbia, Canada is a large park located among farmland and with a sprawling network of trails for walking, horseback riding, and exploring. The park is also home to the Campbell Valley Downs Equestrian Centre and the historic Langley Speedway. Birdwatching, picnicking, and dog walking are also popular in the park as the easy terrain is perfect for families. The park has a total of 29km of trails, with some multi-use paths that are shared with horseback riders, such as the long Shaggy Mane Trail that wraps most of the perimeter edges of the park.

This part of the southern section of the park has a lovely pond with wooden bridge over the water. From the bridge you can see the old wooden gazebo where you can stop and sit a while out of the sun and admire the views of pond, gigantic trees, gardens, and the Visitor Center that holds a Nature House. With Canon EOS Rebel T4i camera in hand, I took many photos of the gazebo, the pond, the large meadow area with picnic shelters, trees, ferns, and old wood fences. This was in July of 2017.
