This is the vector illustration of male Lesser Birds of Paradise (Paradisaea minor) that I have just made using Inkscape. The bird lives in tropical rainforest of New Guinea.
Male Lesser BOP has to perform courtship dance in order to attract his female birds for mating. More often several male birds have to compete one another to win the female birds.
The dance performance has been a famous tourist attraction among birdwatchers and nature lovers. As a tourist guide, I organize birdwatching trips to Arfak mountains and Klasow valley in West Papua region for tourists who want to watch the birds. Although the trip in the jungle is a difficult tour, hundreds of visitors who have taken the tour are eager to see the paradise birds.
Paradise birds play very important role in the ecosystem for rainforest because they disperse seeds of fruits which they eat to all corners of the jungle.
