Artist's Description

This is a drawing I had intended for the Alice in Wonderland Group. There was supposed to be a beautiful blouse with a lace scarf, but this is what happened. The bee came when I noticed the eyes that were supposed to be quizzical or deep in thought were looking as if focused on something. The distraction was supposed to be what was in her teacup. That was where the inspiration was coming from when I saw a photo of a teacup bunny. Nevertheless, it works for now. I will try again with what I intended some other time.

This piece took much longer then I intended – almost 5 days. It is drawn on 9 × 12 drawing paper. I just got a new micro liner and had to use it. The liner was supposed to be for my ATCs, but once I started, I was so pleased to have something finer then what I was originally using. Gold gel ink was also used for the accents around cup, saucer, her rings and the bee.
