Artist's Description

This is one of a series of an original character I developed by looking at a family member. It wasn’t so much of her attitude but the privileges she took for granted. In reading the scriptures, I wondered about the children of Israel and how they complained when God took them out of slavery. What did they have to complain about? In the end, where did all of their complaining get them? it wasn’t in the land of milk and honey where they were destined to be if they just adjusted their attitudes. What about you or the children you have raised? Though I drew this during the Halloween season, it is still apropos all year, especially with Christmas approaching. Will your children be content with what you get them or will they complain? If they complain, where do you think they got that from? How content are you?

This was drawn on 11×14 sketch paper with fine tipped and medium point black ink. The red ink is gel. The color and measure of the image was also enhanced digitally for online presentation.
