Artist's Description

This is a continuation of my Country Girl series. It was the ease and laid back personality of this girl that had me keep coming back to it. I remember my own childhood where I had to find other things to do. I played with the dolls and did the dress up thing but at a early age, it seemed I could do something else that would make a difference. My friend and I started our own snow shoveling business. We were both 8 and really scared to go to people’s houses to ring the doorbells and ask. We then decided to target the elderly because they seemed kinder. Problem was, they really did need the help and couldn’t afford what we were asking. Dona, my friend, left the task to me to ask them and I always short changed us by asking less then she and I agreed upon. It would seem I was destined to be a Social Worker. I have no idea what Dona turned out to be.
