Artist's Description

There aren’t too many flappers of ethnicity seen back in the 20’s unless they were in the jazz clubs. I was recently studying the fashions from the beginning of that century and they didn’t have all of the fringe that has been depicted. There were many hats that seemed quite colorful and others that looked very cumbersome. One thing is for sure, you had to be secure with yourself and the finances to purchase such an extravagance.

This piece was done on 12×12 Strathmore Drawing paper with fine tipped black ink, gel pens, water color pencils, markers, and metallic ink. There has been slight enhancements with photoshop.
