I used to love that song from “back in the day”. Now I’d pass on the song and take the $10 bill instead!
There are scores of secret thingies hidden in the design to make counterfeiting successfully all but impossible. I haven’t even heard of anyone trying in years and now with computer graphics, designs can change overnight and one day your money looks funny – again.
I was working in a fast food restaurant on graveyard shifts when I got tricked into taking a $1 bill with all the corners of various $20 cut off and crudely pasted on it. In a rush, it was so easy to miss; counting my cash register drawer out, it was soooooooooooooo easy for my manager to see. (sigh) He didn’t fire me but he wasn’t amused either. What was I, 19-years old then? Something like that and working 40 hours a week (from 11pm to 7am) before taking a bus to college for another 8 hours before studying for another…. Hmmm. Where did I get THAT last 8 hours from?
