Artist's Description

Labe (Czech name for Elbe) is one of the major rivers of Central Europe. It originates in the northwestern Czech Republic before traversing much of Germany and flowing into the North Sea. Its total length has been given as 1,091 kilometres (678 mi).
[From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia]

Labe flows through a small town where I spent my whole childhood. It was the first river I have ever seen. I love Labe landscapes, for example this one: a photograph taken from Bastei, interesting rock formation in the National park Saxonia Switzerland, Germany.

April 2002. Canon EOS 500N, Sigma 28-135.
‘As is’, except of retouching scratches on the negative, and minor sharpening to compensate for scan.
