Labe (Czech name for Elbe) is one of the major rivers of Central Europe. It originates in the northwestern Czech Republic before traversing much of Germany and flowing into the North Sea. Its total length has been given as 1,091 kilometres (678 mi).

Labe flows through a small town where I spent my whole childhood. It was the first river I have ever seen. I love Labe landscapes, for example this one: a photograph taken from Bastei, interesting rock formation in the National park Saxonia Switzerland, Germany.
