The Ocean Movement

The ocean struggles from lethargic sleep
Surfacing secrets from its slimy deep
The water sighs, the waves yawn into shore
The sea is tired, she won’t play any more.

From gray dull horizon to dull black sand
The water stains where it meets the land
No rhythmic pulsing of the waves
Just stagnant pools in dank, dank caves.

White flecked foam, turned to brown frog spawn
Eternal murkiness, no dusk no dawn
Once great light, now darkness and silence
The sea has spewed out all her violence.
Flotsam and jetsam, marine life fled
Dolphins, whales and birds are dead
The ebbing and flowing pristine sea
Will forever now be a memory.
