DeMille building, Washington, NC. The building once housed the town hall and the fire department. After much research, I can’t find where the house had any direct connection to the DeMille family, other than that their original house stood approximately five blocks west of this building. Whether it was named commemorating Cecil DeMille and his family or has an actual historic connection is unknown to me. I would love more information on this subject if it is known to anyone. The marker that sits directly in front of the building reads: "Demille Family, Home of motion picture producer Cecil B. DeMille, and his father, playwright Henry C. DeMille, stood five blocks west.
