Mystery Man

Standing in a crowded room, glancing over the top of people’s head I could see this mysterious looking man. He was tall, had deep brown eyes, eyes so deep you could get lost in them. Lush slicked back hair, this air about him that was like he was a James Bond character. I knew I had to find out who he was, this could be my only chance, it was now or never.Attempting to leave the conversation I was engaged in proved to be harder than I thought. Making any excuse that I could to leave. Finally there was an a window to escape arose. I was out of there, casually making my way across the crowded room over to this mysterious man.His eyes were captivating they sent shivers up my spine. As I made my way across the room I tried to keep a low profile. Going from one conversation to the next, remaining calm and collected as I merge with the crowd. Usually I would be like a rabbit in the headlights when it comes to walking up to a complete stranger. This time there was something different, almost as though there was something wrong, I didn’t have the usual feeling the one that had become so normal for me.No butterflies, nothing. Just complete calmness. Had I met this mystery man before? My brain was trying to figure out why it was that I was remaining so calm. Being calm and collected was out of my character. I just knew that I had to get across this crowded room to talk to this man.The music had now just become a distant noise, as though it wasn’t there. For a few minutes everything else in the room felt like it had stopped in time. Like this mystery man and I were the only two people in the room. Time stood still, like someone had pressed pause on a remote control.Half way across the room and still no butterflies nothing, just that strange complete calmness. By now I could see him completely, he looked like such an interesting character. His eyes were the thing that caught me out, not knowing if he had seen me or not was the difficult thing.I knew that no matter what I had to find out who he was and where he had been all this time.Taking a quick look across the room without him noticing was easy, I stood there watching him. Watching how he was standing, laughing, talking and how he was dressed. To me he looked like such a curious character. For me to get the courage to talk to him was out of the question. His eyes had drawn me in they were so captivating. Deep brown eyes, looking into them was like looking into a window. Eyes that sent shivers up my spine. Casually moving across the crowded room I ducked in and out of different conversations.I wasn’t leaving here until I had talked to him, I just couldn’t allow myself to set foot outside until I at least knew his name. Just a name would make me happy, to me this James Bond looking character was mysterious.
