A cute little goldfinch arrived at my feeder for a sunny breakfast. Layered with a background texture – a photo of leaves from my backyard with a little motion blur.
Often called a “Wild Canary” the male Goldfinch is a bright yellow bird with a black patch on his forehead, black wings and tail with white markings. The color dramatically changes during the winter to a dull olive color without the black forehead. Goldfinches are partial migrators and eat seeds (preferably Thistle) and insects.
