Lisa Davis has been an enthusiastic gardener for many years. After planting a variety of gardens, she came across the art form of scannography-using a flatbed scanner in place of a camera to capture images. Having plenty of subject material to play with, she started experimenting with different techniques, taking several years to refine her skills.

The process of turning her flowers into art boosted and fine tuned her observational skills, and one day she discovered she could see whimsical heads, fanciful clothing and delicate wings among her flowers. Little fairy figures were born.

As she became more proficient in a graphic arts program, her designs developed, and continue to evolve as she creates her own little world. She sells her original works at Fine Arts and Crafts Fairs in NYS, where she has won many awards
