TO LIVE IN THE MOMENT

To live in the moment, is to live in the wind.
Both from places unseen, again and again.
One chain link of life, to the very next.
Displayed as I write, in this very text.
You can see it, feel it, but you cannot hold it.
You can be it, seal it, but you cannot own it.
Just be glad you were there if you had a good time.
A perfect knit square in the fabric of time.
In the quilt of moments of this thing called life,
There are guilty moments when things aren’t right.
Your fault or not, stuff you wish you could change.
But it’s not to be, these being arranged.
For a greater purpose, the world is sustained
Through excitement, euphoria, boredom, and pain.
When in the moment, make sure you live it up,
Cause the end of moments makes sure you give it up.
To accomodate the convection current.
Since that one’s gone and the next one’s current,
In more ways than one, there’ll be more days to come
With more moonlit nights, and more rays of sun.
And you’ll soon fit right in the space of one
Of life’s precious moments, be it good or bad,
Or in between they’re all we have!
So plan for the future, don’t regret the past.
You can live in the moment, but it will not last.
