'Timelapsed [Anomalies' End]'

My eyes snap open
at the sound inside;
’It’ll come back around,
your way-to-find;
across the line,
in three-to-five’.

Head bowed slightly
eyes to the horizon,
focus is for breathing
on an even-keel.
Foot-falls echo,
this world is reeling;
heat elicits shimmers
in the silver-blue.

The glass of the sky,
roof of this feeling;
is shot-through with amber
up-above our heads.

Walk down the line,
that lies between the mirrors,
filtered through the words
pounding in my head.

Shining so serenely
through the violent static,
crackling through the evening
at beginning’s end.

Artist's Description

Most of my written works are spoken to a very specific rhythym or pattern, something that gets lost in translation on here.

This piece is one of the rare ones, that is almost sung, or rhymed more than it is spoken; because the pace is very quick. After the first verse the lines are all intended to bleed into each other, following a particular pattern.

The first verse goes relatively slowly, then it’s break-neck pace right till the end of the last line, where it ends very abruptly. This is intentional because it’s reflective of the atmosphere abound for me at the moment, upon which this piece is a commentary.
