Artist's Description

Cirsium Texanum is known as Texas Thistle.

This was another wildflower I found growing next to the Milkweed. The bees were all around the field pollinating the flowers.

Bumblebees work the flowers when they mature. Larvae of painted-lady butterfly feed on foliage. Goldfinches eat seeds and use fluff (silky) of ripened seeds to line nests.
