Why draw monsters, after two years devoted to flowers? I’ve been asked this question very often. Monsters and flowers are two sides of the same coin. The flowers are the representation of perfect harmony and unreachable beauty , monsters allude to a reality that we would rather forget . These imaginary creatures , probably not exist . Yet when I look at nature, I find it has surprising inventions : like these creatures of the abyss for example. Nature has inventions beyond imagination . It seems legitimate to unleash my own to explore uncharted depths of a universal unconscious.

I'm surrounded by monsters!

When I painted flowers, I saw flowers everywhere. Now that I’m painting monsters, I see monsters everywhere too.
