A little fatter but I can still create great art around me! I would like to take the time to thank Roy and Joel for their great help and support on my Opening Night!
I love to paint so it’s not so much a chore. My next strategy is to create smaller works. In time that’ll probably make these larger works more valuable but romance aside I have a view to do larger works in the future. Most of these larger canvas’ are on sale at a flowershop in Paddington. Next door is a little Interior’s place called: “Spotted Magpie”. I had designed the logo and their mascot. I am quite proud of that and see that as a mini victory. Not alot more to record at the moment. No real contriversies and I am alive. Not only as an artist but as a living human being so there isn’t that real intrigue as from the general public. Fuck them! They are a boring lot anyway! They need to look at art to get excited and inspired, how insipd!
In closing I hope you the fickle and easily outraged public enjoy my artistic offerings! Being unpopular has it’s benefits. Well it’s a pretty simple one but it is one none the less! I think my art is great! Personally if I wasn’t me I would buy it! Infact there are pieces in little (if any) small personal collections (if you count “two”) that I would like to buy back. To be honest my Mum wants these pieces for her own collection. The moral of this story is simple. If she says she wants it after someone has bought it you can easily say it’s too late. Unless you go on Red Bubble and buy a great copy of it! Then that’s acceptable! She may look at you as if she forms some sort of wierd capsicum squinted look to say “what are you on about Damien Lasaration?!”, that’s to say if the conversation is squarley at you Damien Lasaration (being me), but you are not (Damien Lasaration), so you will have to be content with just being yourself now. Only to find out that she is still squinting at you. Even after you have left the room, bus stop or milk bar. What is with that? Mmm, wierd.
