Artist's Description

This is my other Historic Group M car, the KJC MK3 built in Melbourne circa 1965 by Ken Code. The car is pictured at a test day at Winton Raceway today the 19th December 2008. This is the cars first outing in almost 10 years, after purchasing the car earlier in the year and after some minor repairs, the idea was to evaluate the cars condition. Despite running on very hard 10 year old Dunlop tyres, the car performed very well, running on aviation gasoline, and we had a ball.
We also ran the Williams Special , it’s first outing since restoration, to get some track time and sort the bugs before it’s first race in March 2009.
Both of these cars epitomize the spirit of the 60’s when many young men used skill and ingenuity to build one off cars of their own design to compete in motor sport.
