Envoking the spirit

sitting there across the table he asks what’s on my mind. Can you believe that?Well then where should I begin? Dare I tell him that I am thinking of nights long past when horse and buggy claimed the land? Or should I tell him how lonely I am here whith everyone I have ever loved has long since gone away. There are four more of them now, asking what I want. Should I tell them I only want what is mine? Should I tell them to all go away and just leave me alone? I want to know what they want, what in the world are they asking me all of these questions for? Shouting to the heavens I ask “What do you want from me! What do you want me to say?”I want to tell them that I want to be free once more, to be with my loved ones and to smile as my children blow out there birthday candles. Those days are gone burried along with all of the memories which haunt me everyday, everyhour, every second. They all stand up from their chairs now chanting in horrible tongue. “Go away All of you! get out of my house!” A gentle touch tugs at the hem of my dress I turn around, “Mommy, can we go now?” My children your home!
