When I saw this little guy all alone on this old mossy log, I couldn’t help but feel a twinge of sadness. How delicate and frightening it must be, so small and exposed to the elements and critters of the forest. So transparent, one could see the “seeds” underneath it’s cap. And only about an inch tall, a worm would look huge next to it. And a lifespan of about 24 hours? Makes me, as a human, appreciate my life even more!
