Bombs

Oh
smoke and glitter and flitter bombs,
You sparkle so sweet
Like dew drops in the sun
Of my imagination.
I’m captivated
As I watch you flit
And fly among the other memories
It tries to commit to the deep recesses
Of white matter
Hiding within
Heathen skull.
Why doth thy fragile bone
And serpentine skin
Hide those brittle frames?
Let them out (oh gracious protector, harmless hindrance)
So I can feel the tepid thoughts turn to the warm embrace
Of material on soul,
Flicker on skin,
Glint on nerve endings;
Let them see the light of day and shine
(Brightly, warmly)
Against the grain of simple reality.

Artist's Description

Though it may SOUND like I’m on drugs, I promise I am not. This is pulled out of the crazy part of my brains that is probably taking over a bit right now, causing me to be idealistic and a bit bitchy and want to crawl into my own little space so I can control the world around me. Time to let go methinks.

(Hope you get some enjoyment)
