Artist's Description

The morning of December 7, 1941, the nation of Japan attacked the United States of America. Called ‘a sneak attack’, they delivered great damage to America’s Pacific fleet. All it did was unify a country and wake up a great giant. Wave upon wave of bombers descended onto battleship row. Many men died and heroes were born. George Welch and Ken Taylor, in particular, were able get their planes up and shoot down many enemy planes. The Arizona, Oklahoma, Utah, California and Nevada were severely damaged that day. The Arizona monument stands as a reminder of that day in history.
