"A FALLEN ANGEL"

An angel spoke her words to meThrough gentle swathes of harmonyAnd there a story left untoldThrough painted words soft and boldWith her delicate wings spread apartA fragile hand bestow my heartWithin a whisper she said to meYou must be strong please believeAnd as clouded visions of uncertaintyIntrude upon my destinyInvasions of terrifying moments passAs they dwindle away from within my graspAs if being judged by god himselfMy children and I escape our deathThrough one man’s recklessness, I lost my wayBefore I realized, three lives were savedLike a fallen angel who’s wings were tornI was lifted up to be rebornFor the words my angel spoke that dayWere don’t worry everything will be okay

Artist's Description

This poem was written by me shortly after my children and I were in what could have been a fatal car wreck. We rolled four times at 65-70 miles an hour due to a wreckless driver going much faster. My children were unharmed. I suffered from some moderate bruising and a real bad concussion. It has only been recently…that I have learned how to truly live again.
