Artist's Description

That unique building was erected in 1952 and designed by the outstanding architect prof. Marek Leykam. Quite specific element was a cosmic dome with iluminators on the top. Buliding reminds palaces of Florence bankers – who are seen as those who discovered capitalism. It was a joke that architect made out of communist leaders who didn`t agree for Leykam`s first project of tall building in this place. What`s more, that supposed to be a headcourter of Presidium, there was an atomic shelter in basement designed…On the left there is another Leykam`s project that reminds laying tall building – was it also a joke? I don`t know that.
