Artist's Description

Feral Kauai Roosters started making their appearance soon after Hurricane Iniki in 1992.
A theory is that they got their start on the island after several got loose from locals that were breeding them for cock-fighting.

Although they are beautiful to look at, they can get annoying because the roosters tend to crow all day starting several hours before the sun comes up.

These roosters are all over the islands from the beaches to the mountains….

Personally…..I never tire of the crowing……….aloha
