I should tell you
about my power
about my mysterious kink
I used to go about
fully believing
I was invisible
then just for a moment
I would materialise…

Thanks Andrew, the shadows here were amazing, old, empty servo.
the paint peal is good to
yeah! the paint was pretty good too. It’s actually an awesome spot for photoshoots, I’ll be doing more here.
A great series Sylvia. I particularly like this one with the lines running throughout the image – both the physical and shadow.
Hey Andrew :D
The lines and shadows were a little exciting and totally not there in daylight, completely different feel.
I’m having fun with these.
What a great idea, well done!
I’m popping up all over town…… in the night!
Thanks so much Judi :D
What an intriguing series…!
You show what the background is, yet it isn’t…more like seeing through many lens.
That’s a really interesting comment, thanks margot. I’m really surprised just how different the entire town looks in the night light, when you really stop and look at it. It’s been a fun experiment so far.
such an intriguing series Sylvia – love the location & light lines – it has that eerie feel – bet your having fun getting around – love you work xx :)
Thanks so much Deb :D I was surprised just how eerie the whole town is at night especially when out on my own, gave me the creeps a bit but I’m definately having fun with these x
You know, I like this one because to me, you are standing here at this abandoned station, looking at it in wonderment as to how and why it is in the state of disrepair that it seems to be in. It is almost like you have been traveling for a long time in order to reach this very station… but its a bust. Its as though the chaos came and took away the calm. Though you want this to serve up fuel just like you might want to materialize into another station, you accept the fact that there will be no fuel… that there is no here… that there is only infinity. You are the calm center of chaos, and you have the keys in your heart. Though chaos is a consumer, you are only a traveler of the chaotic realm, materializing in places that are not yet known. Though they might have been known to some at one time, their true purposes and true meanings are yet to be revealed. Your materialization circuit is very intriguing to me… and I cannot wait to see where you appear at next. I hope that you find what you are looking for, as you traverse the realities of infinite space and time. Happy Materializing, Sylvia. I’ll keep the light on for you… Oh, and by the way… I really really like this photograph. It is pretty much perfect to me. I love the emotion I can feel here.
Always such a treat to receive one of your thoughtful and insightful comments dasSuiGeneris, I’m so happy you like this and love your interpretation. Thank you and happy travelling :D
Or, you could just be visiting an old friend in this shot. There is such a calmness about this that intrigues me, and it seems comfortable here, or at least it was at one time. I could liken this to The Beatles songs in how they seem to mean more to us as time passes. I think I’ll go look at your new stuff some more…
Somehow I had completely missed this series until today. I love it! Fabulous light and shadow and lines here.
It’s an ongoing project for me, one that I have a lot of fun with, materialising for a moment in various locations… and I love the moonlight for it’s wonderful shadows. Thanks again so much Jan.
