WON’T YOU STAY FOR TEA? – by Sally Omar

A very proper family
Table set just right
Always welcome at their home
Either day or night

A greeting at the door
Always scones or cake
And nice hot tea
You never have to wait

The family says a prayer
Thanking the Lord above
It is so obvious
There is so much love

Hardworking people
Children are good at school
They have been taught
The Golden Rule

In the evening
The family snuggles by the Fireplace
Always smiling
Each with a happy face

Dad tells a story
Of Grandpa Grady
And how he met
Grandma Sadie

He goes on to tell
A ghostly tale
Of how things fly
And he’d hear ghosts wail

Go by their home
When you walk down the lane
They will invite you in
In the sun or the rain

Will give you a bite
And a cup of tea
When you see them
Say Hello for me

Thank you so much for writing this for my image dear Sally – it’s fabulous!!! xxx
